WYPW aims to promote printmaking in all its forms in Kirklees and the wider region of West Yorkshire. Here you can find the perfect printmaking facility. WYPW print workshop is located in Mirfield, between Huddersfield and Dewsbury, which has a regional reputation as the workspace of some of the area's most creative people.
Volunteer Would you like to volunteer at the workshop? We are looking for interested people to come and join in with the running of the centre, the arts and general duties. E-mail us.
Community Space
There is a larger community available to anyone for individual, communtity and group use. It houses the Saturday life drawing classes at the moment . Contact us for details
WYPW is a community space, studio, workshop, educational facility and resource centre dedicated to new approaches in printmaking. At WYPW we honour the rich tradition of printmaking by exploring traditional and alternatives that are safe for artists and the environment.

Workshops and Studios
A new larger space suitable for a creative business is now available at £300.00 a month.
The WYPW centre houses, seven studio spaces, etching and screen printing rooms. There are vacancies from time to time in the studios, contact us to be placed on our waiting list.
WYPW operates with the necessary help of voluntary contributions. We welcome offers of voluntary assistance and sponsorship from the private and business sectors. Contact us

Courses
WYPW classes and courses offer high quality tuition by well respected practicing artists. We keep groups small so you get lots of attention. Beginners are welcome. The printmakers workshop at WYPW is an open access non-toxic workshop that aims to provide high quality printmaking facilities in which both the professional printmakers and beginners can work comfortably.
The West Yorkshire Print Workshop runs regular weekend printing courses, on a variety of print making techniques, for people of all abilities. Courses are £90 and involve intensive printing in a particular technique with an experienced tutor. Group sizes are small to give you a more practical and hands on experience!

Education
Fascinating and Exciting Our education programme starts on ...Saturday morning!
These workshops are for young people aged 8-14. They cost only £3.00 per workshop, there's nothing else like it in Kirklees. We have limited free places available for anybody who finds it difficult to pay fees and materials.

Access
The printmakers workshop at WYPW is an open access workshop that aims to provide high quality printmaking facilities in which both the professional printmakers and beginners can work comfortably. We can offer facilities for relief printing, silk screen printing, black & white photography and digital imaging suite.
Key holder scheme:- Any established member can now apply to pay to the management board to become a 'key holder' for WYPW. For £10 per month you can, if accepted on the scheme, have keys to WYPW and thus unlimited access to the facilities. There is a first payment £20.00 then a monthly standing order of £10. (In the first £20.00 payment £10.00 covers key cutting costs). Normal payment for working hours in the studio apply of course.
Workshop assistants are available at particular times during the week to provide technical support .
Shop We stock a range of printing materials available for sale to members. The charges for the printmakers workshop are based on minimum costs. Compare our prices with other suppliers.
Charges are made for theuse of the printmaking workshops. They are based on an hourly amount and are the same for all members
